Accessing Osea Island

While Osea Island feels like a world away, it is conveniently located just a short distance from London near the town of Maldon.

Access to the island is via an ancient causeway, built by the Romans. At every low tide, for a period of 4 hours, cars can be driven across. At high tide, there’s a river taxi service from the mainland, the boat journey taking about 10 minutes.

On the island, each location is a short stroll away, and there are bicycles for taking leisurely rides around the tracks and paths.

Natural Movement

Natural Movement encompasses all the ways humans are designed to move. We focus on the movements our ancestors would have used to hunt, forage, farm, build, fight and rest.

Natural movement principles build strength from the ground up, connecting us with the earth and our primal roots. We see the body as one, and move away from isolating muscle groups or body parts.

Everything is connected and all the ways we move are interwoven with one another. Natural movement is a holistic approach to expressing our bodies desire to move freely.

Expect to learn and practice natural movement skills which can be integrated into daily life to make you stronger, healthier and more able.

Sauna

To continue the rewilding experience, the sauna and cold dip workshop offers a chance to further connect with your body and the elements.

Alternating between the heat of the sauna and the invigorating chill of a cold dip, you'll experience the restorative benefits of contrast therapy.

This ancient practice improves circulation, aids recovery, and leaves you feeling grounded and revitalised. Set against a serene backdrop, this session is designed to calm the mind, energise the body, and deepen your connection to nature.

Mindset

Retreat experiences are powerful, they act as a hard stop in our busy lives and remind us of the importance of slowing down both our bodies and minds.

However, when the afterglow of a retreat fades we often revert back to our ‘default’ way of being and operating.

Caspar will be sharing with you his insights and practical tools that will help you continue to shift your state to support your rewilding journey going forward.
